After a lifetime of scribbling stories, keeping diaries, penning letters, telling tall tales and writing articles for magazines, Eve Bonham is now an author of two books, and is working on her third. Her first book, “Madness Lies and Other Stories” is a collection of sixteen quirky short stories written with sparkle, humour and compassion. The new book – her first novel – is called: “To the End of the Day,” and it relates the dramatic events of a day in the life two friends.
The author’s life has been full and diverse: she studied English in Ireland and then taught it in Thailand; she was at one time London’s only lady fine art auctioneer; she has competed in tough yacht races across the Atlantic and Round the World, and has travelled far and wide overland. Having lived in a Breton village in France and sailed across the oceans with her husband and children, Eve now lives in Dorset, writes most mornings, works for a property investment company, dabbles at watercolours, plants specimen trees, and enthusiastically involves herself in village life.
The experiences she has had trigger her ideas and the people she has met inhabit her stories. Invention and imagination do the rest. You can read more about Eve and her books at her website.
